Congratulations to PalArchGroup PhD student Timothy Canessa who today passed his first year interview (Fakultätsöffentliche Präsentation) in the Doctoral School of Historical and Cultural Studies at the University of Vienna. His topic "The Early Upper Palaeolithic of the Iberian Peninsular as a proxy for initial human settlement: an exploration of its variable lithic assemblages" was approved. Timo is co-supervised by Ass.-Prof. Dr. Philip R. Nigst (University of Vienna) and Dr. Paloma de la Peña Alonso (University of Granada, Spain). Great work, Timo!
