On 12 June 2023 Dr. Alice Leplongeon presented some thoughts on the Palaeolithic record of Northeastern Africa as part of our HEAS Human Evolution and the Palaeolithic seminar series. Her presentation - entitled "Not Just a Corridor. Towards an alternative narrative for Pleistocene human occupation of North-Eastern Africa" - gave an historical overview of the debates around the Late Pleistocene human occupation of Northeastern Africa and presented some new finds from her recent fieldwork in Egypt and Sudan.
